Swayambhunath
Perched on a hill overlooking Kathmandu, Swayambhunath is one of the oldest and most sacred religious sites in Nepal, believed to be over 1,500 years old. Devotees come here to pray to Lord Buddha.
Prayer flags flutter in the breeze, spinning wheels hum softly, and the golden stupa glows warmly in the sunlight. Monkeys wander curiously around the steps, adding life and mischief to the serene atmosphere. From here, the city spreads out below like a colorful patchwork, and on clear days, the Himalayas rise gently in the distance making it a perfect spot to pause, take in the view, and feel the soul of Kathmandu.
